- Copy of Art at the Arc – Tuesday Nights for All Ages
Event on 2014-06-03 17:00:00Classes are Tuesday evenings from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm 2014 for 4 week increments.
Ourgoal is to offer a safe and supportive environment for artistic development for artists with or without disabilities. They will receive individualized instruction from mentoring artists, quality art materials, and professional opportunities to exhibit their work. It is our desire to foster a connection that will enable engagement with the community. As artists create art, and express thoughts and emotion, they have the opportunity to interact with teachers, mentors, peers, patrons, and art lovers. This opportunity increases personal identity by developing a meaningful art practice, and creating a body of work. Through this practice artists can acquire an expanded sense of self, increased confidence and self efficacy, realize their potentials, amplify their voices, and fully establish themselves in the world. We will change attitudes and promote the arts in the community.

She also continues to work with children with developmental disabilities and their special education teachers in the areas of Vocational Arts.
